A fireplace without a mantel looks like it’s waiting for something. A floating shelf finishes the job: a strong horizontal line, a place for a vase and a frame, and a focal point the room can gather around.
Our mantels mount on a hidden bracket, so the shelf looks like it floats off the wall. [CONFIRM: solid pine, widths 48/60/72 in, depth 8 in, height 3 or 5 in, finishes Rustic Natural and Rustic Traditional]
Check your fireplace manual and local code for clearance above the opening before you choose a size.
